Korean cosmetics are moving into markets at Chinese homes

The Korean International Trade Association (president Duck-soo Han) has invited Happy Go, a Chinese television shopping company, and held Happy Go Invitation Trade Fair at Trade Tower in Samsung dong on April 7th.

The purpose of this Fair was to support Korean Beauty and Cosmetics companies in their moves into the Chinese market and their marketing activities, and it was arranged one to one meetings with merchandisers from Happy Go. Happy Go is a top television shopping company in China.14 Korean corporations participated including Hanbul Cosmetics, Haan Beauty, Kolmar Korea, Aekyung Cosmetics, Ami and Claires.

Happy Go is one of the leading Chinese Television shopping companies with the Oriental CJ, and its sales reached to 900 billion won in 2013. Happy Go is aired to 6,500 households in 18 Provinces, three direct controlled Municipalities of Beijing, Tianjin and Chongqing.

Mr. Jang Hogeun, a director of International Marketing Division at KITA, said that Hallyu with Korean soap operas, movies and K-pops have triggered Chinese people to have ardent interests in Korean cosmetics which Korean singers and actors/actresses are using. We are planning to pursue various marketing projects like hosting other exhibitions including CCCMHPIE (the China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Medicines and Health Products) visiting Korea at April 14th and Chinese Agro-food marketing strategy seminar and fair(May 9th).
