KITA Held a Networking Event with Professional Buyers in the Texworld USA Show

 

-Business networking event was held by inviting 200 textile buyers in cooperation with United States Fashion Industry Association-

The Korea International Trade Association (Chairman, Han Duck-soo) co-hosted a networking event with United States Fashion Industry Association for Korean entrepreneurs by inviting about 200 visiting buyers of the exhibition in Javits Convention Center, New York on Tuesday, July 22. For KITA, this was the first networking event to hold in cooperation with the overseas famous exhibition. 48 Korean participants of ‘Texworld USA’ took part in the networking event.

 

‘Texworld USA’ is one of the largest textile sourcing show in North America. It is a business consultation oriented exhibition in which many major buyers, manufacturers and exporters from the U.S., Europe and Latin America participate. As of 2013, the show had 600 exhibitors and 6,600 visiting buyers.

 

Approximately 200 professional buyers took part in this networking event which was hosted by KITA and sponsored by Korea Textile and Trade Association and KOTRA. The Trend Forum Pavilion, which was consist of the Korean participating companies’ latest samples, was built and run and it was popular among the buyers.

 

Jang Ho-geun, an executive of KITA said “This networking event focused on providing a place for Korean companies to meet professional buyers by inviting them in cooperation with the famous overseas exhibition and creating a synergy effect for the small and medium businesses who participated in the show.” He added “This event will be an opportunity to sign a MOU with the United States Fashion Industry Association which has many big buyers in textile industry as its members and enhance the information sharing and business matching services in the future.”
